Global and regional concerns about atmospheric and marine contaminants, thermal pollution, pesticide and heavy metal disposal, radioisotope properties, and effects of pollutants on living organisms. Organic nomenclature and selected biochemistry principles.

Prerequisite: CHE 331 or instructor consent
