This course is designed to allow practicing healthcare professionals to develop a better understanding of the molecular pathophysiology that occurs in three of the major diseases afflicting western health: diabetes, obesity and athersoclerosis. This course will provide information from primary and secondary professional sources about these diseases and the mechanisms by which the major drugs and lifestyle changes work.

Prerequisites: CHE 101; ALH 515 and admission to the MS MAH program.
