The Online Certificate in Geographic Information Systems program does not require any experience in GIS. The Online Certificate in Geographic Information Systems program allows students to build their own track. Except for GIS 134 (required course), other courses are elective. Students will complete weekly assignments using their own computer (Recommend Windows system). Students will communicate with their classmates and instructors via email or Canvas discussion board. The Online Certificate in Geographic Information Systems program will operate during Fall, Winter, and Spring terms. Students can begin any of these terms. Students can earn the GIS certificate as quickly as 9 months.  Students must complete 18 credits to complete the certificate.
