The Department of Communication and the Office of Online Learning offers an 18 Credit Online Certificate in Health Communication. This certificate is designed to be offered as a stand-alone Extended Education Certificate. 

COM 346: Health Communication must be taken. 6 credits must be taken from the 100 and 200 Level Elective list. At least 6 credits must be taken from the 300 and 400 Level Elective list.  At least one of the introductory courses must be taken as the first course in the certificate sequence but students may take both introductory courses if they wish. If a student takes both introductory courses one of the courses will count towards the 6 required credits from the 100 and 200 Elective Courses. Students must complete 18 credits to complete the certificate.
