The Online Certificate in Technical & Medical Writing includes core writing courses and additional focus courses in Health Communication/Writing in the Health Professions and interdisciplinary courses in Medical Terminology; Current Health Issues/Medical Sociology/Health Care Systems & Policy.

Successful completion with a grade of “C” or better in 11 credit hours of core writing classes (WRI 121Z, WRI 227Z, and WRI 327 or WRI 350) and in 8 credit hours of focus classes (COM 346 or PWR 306; and BIO 200; and SOC 205 or SOC 225 or BUS 313). Students must complete 18 credits to receive the certificate.
