Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence (BS-AI) at Oregon Tech prepares students to design, implement, and manage intelligent computing systems that drive innovation across industries. Rooted in Oregon Tech’s polytechnic mission, the program emphasizes applied, hands-on learning in data science, automation, and the development of ethical AI. Through the Applied Computing Track, students gain practical experience in data management, cybersecurity, and machine learning using modern, low-code tools and industry-relevant applications. Coursework progresses from foundational literacy in AI to Applied AI Fundamentals, followed by advanced study in Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, and a two-part AI Capstone project. Graduates are equipped with the technical, analytical, and ethical competencies to meet Oregon’s growing demand for AI professionals in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, business intelligence, and public service.
